The cars I leave running in the grocery store parking lot that were already low on gas. lolĪ moment of silence for the charred garlic bread in the oven. True love is taking the hit of pain when you look into their eyes as you throw out that bone, and then taking them for a walk. and that includes looking out for them when they can't like when they're lasering in on a deliciously greasy lamb-chop, and when you're done, they look at you like you're a monster for throwing out the cooked bones- the cooked bones that can KILL THEM. ![]() lolīut, as the humans, we know better and we have to be good stewards to the animals we share our lives with ![]() It's SO PAINFUL to look into my dog's eyes when she's looking at my burger, I love her SO MUCH and it fucking HURTS that I know she can't understand WHY she can't have it. I've seen both ends of the spectrum at different friend's houses, and I can tell you which households I wouldn't want to live with every single day. I'd also like to avoid the staring down that can occur with dogs that beg, it's just not a good look and it's a weird way to live, avoiding your dogs because you can't eat around them. But now that I know just how bad it can be for the pets (long term: obesity, short term: pancreatitis, etc.) I just can't do that in good conscience. I would, regretfully, do this in my child-hood, sneaking my dogs a bit here and there. and this is coming from a mush-hearted life-long animal lover. But ykno I’m not a doctor!! Or a psych!! Just speaking from experience from lots of treatment and hearing lots of ppls experiences. There’s also emotional hunger and fullness which is a whole other thing, but generally if food isn’t causing you significant distress and your properly nourished, then I’d try to not overthink it bc it’s the overthinking that can bite ya in the ass. Not all EDs look the same obvs but those are just some examples of leaving-food-on-the-plate tendencies from my experiences and the many ppl I’ve come across esp from treatment. If it’s just “I’m full” or “I’m still hungry” and not about your view on consumption (e.g., I‘m only allowed to eat half of this chipotle bowl), then it’s honestly a pretty healthy thing to eat to your appetite. It rly just depends on the energy around it for it to be EDish as in, what’s stopping you from just finishing? But anyway for the later part, it also depends on the thought process. In an effort to create the best dining experience, a portion of your gratuity left today may be provided to our Snoozers working behind the scenes. As someone with an ED it’s is indeed a habit that many have, along the lines of “leaving one bite means I didn’t ~indulge~ and eat the whole thing”- I’ve seen someone throw a fit over a 3/4inch tall piece of a baby carrot.
